Our story: a lifelong love for ferrets

My journey with ferrets began at 18. Like many, I initially believed the common misconceptions about them being difficult or smelly. However, I quickly fell in love with their unique personalities and charm. This early experience, though sometimes challenging due to limited information, ignited a lifelong passion. It's this love that inspired me to create Cardiff Ferretry, aiming to educate others and provide well-socialised, healthy ferrets to loving homes.

Meet our ferrets: standards and semi-angoras

At Cardiff Ferretry, we specialise in breeding both standard and semi-angora black ferrets. Our breeding programme focuses on temperament, health, and conformation, ensuring that each kit grows into a wonderful pet. We believe that a well-bred ferret, raised with love and attention, makes an exceptional companion, full of playful energy and affection.

Raising happy, socialised kits

The most important aspect of our ferretry is how our kits are raised. From a very young age, all our kits are regularly handled by myself, my wife, and our five children, aged 5 to 13. This constant interaction ensures they are well-socialised and comfortable with people. They are also introduced to our dogs and other family members, preparing them for a smooth transition into their new homes. We are dedicated to providing the best start for every ferret we breed.
